Background
Eslicarbazepine acetate is recommended as adjunctive therapy in Adults and Children aged above 6 years with focal (partial onset) seizures with or without secondary generalisation, only for highly refractory patients in whom standard adjunctive treatment is ineffective or not tolerated.
